Best Kayak?

I'm looking at kayaks such as the Perception Acadia (13'). What are some other kayaks similar to the Acadia?

What is the best kayak for recreational use?

i found that pelican has a great line of recreational kayaks, that can be used for lakes or rivers. they are especially good for beginners

Try Pyranha, LiquidLogic, Necky, etc etc.

:) Not too clued up with long boats. I tend to use smaller ones as I do whitewater :)

Have you looked into the sit-on kayaks? I got a Venus 11 from Ocean Kayak and I absolutely love it!!! Ocean Kayak has a variety. My Venus is 11 feet long. They  have a Caper that is similar in length. I only use my Venus for recreational purposes, and it's a blast!! You might also look into the Frenzy, if you want a smaller boat.
