Best/Loudest Subs for up to $1200 (not including Amps, Box, etc.)?

Question

I've been looking to get some decent sounding (loudness and quality) subwoofers for my Yukon. Now I'm asking for YOUR opinion on which subs would be my best bet for up to $1200? Note that I'm talking ONLY about the subs, not the box or amp or anything else.

I was thinking either, 2 JL Audio 13.5 w7s, or 4 Hifonics Olympus 4800w 15s

I found both subs on ebay for between 1000-1300 (for 2 JLs or 4 Hifonics)

Which of these would you prefer? or are there any better brands I could get for this price?

For overall sound Q and spl, Diamond Audio TDX series in the right enclosure and amp setup would be phenomenal in your Yukon. Watch out buying stuff on ebay. You get what you pay for!!!

Please save your money.. JL Audio is too expensive and if you need 4 Hifonics to compare you know that isnt your choice.  Trust me the best answer for this question is Kicker Solo X. you can get 1 12" 2500watts rms sub for a quarter of the price but if you really wanna go big get the Kicker Solo X 18" 5000 watts rms. I have one 12" w/ 0 gauge wire, a kicker 2500watt amp with a 15 farad cap and i havent met anyone with 2 15" subs of any kind to hit harder.. But you will need a custom made box for these sub.

I would say Kicker Solo X, but there is a sub that kicks the shiit out of the solo x.......

before i read your whole article i was gonna say jl w7 and thats what you wrote yes you want to go with jl well built subs and very reliable i have 2 12w1 jl i wish i had the extra$ to upgrad but yes go with jl
