Best Lwan Mowers?

Question

Hows it going everybody Im looking to purchase a riding mower and Ive never had one so I dont know much about them. I dont want one of those with the 2 arm handles just the ones with the steering wheel. Im looking for something good but not too expensive. Im going to be using it to cut my lawn and soccer fields so I need it to be able to cut grass short. Thanks for the help.

Check out the Toro line. They make something for pretty much any application and budget.

From experience, I would tell you to stay away from the Troy Bilt lawn mowers from Lowe's.  I bought one, had it for only 2 1/2 years, and it was a pain in the butt.  I finally ended up just giving it away to someone who could fix it and keep up with it.

My father bought a John Deere and loves it.

I have a walking Craftsman mower (from Sears), and it's been wonderful to me.

I am a John Deere guy, it is relatively comfortable and has a 18 HP engine. The Horsepower rating can be significant if you plan to do more than mow the lawn, and can make mowing the lawn more pleasant.

John Deer is on the expensive end you if you want cheap go to walmart they have riding mowers that are pretty good. My neighbor has had one for 8 years and it works well. Just make sure you keep the filters clean change the oil with synthetic and dont dog it, as long as you keep the blades sharp it will undergo less stress and you should be fine for many years. I have a john deer but dont think it is worth the price
