Best Mac and best Final Cut Pro?

Question

okay i love film, and my goal in life is to edit film so yeah i would really love to buy a Mac, i was thinking of buying a Mac book pro because i can take it around with me everywhere. I already know how to use Final cut pro for the most part so i would just want to know what type of Mac is best recommended and which edition of final cut pro i should get?

oh and my budget is like $5000

so help me out!!! please!

Great! Here's my advice!

If you want portability, go with the higher end MacBook Pros. The 2.5 GHz or 2.6GHz model has 6 MB of L2 Cache, as opposed to the 2.4GHz, which has 3MB of L2 Cache. That means faster performance, especially when compressing. Also, those models have better video cards, which will help when doing graphics in Motion.

For better video performance, go with the 200GB 7200 RPM hard drive. The faster spinning drive means faster data retrieval.

Final Cut Studio 2. The latest and the greatest. For saving space on your hard drive, you may want to install the media files on an external drive.
