Best Monopoly experience and story as a kid...?

I played Monopoly for the first time in over 12 years now. Playing this power hungry board game bought back a lot of memories...cheating, begging, and anger.

What are your funny memories playing this classic game?

I was the world's best monopoly player, then my 9 year old grandson whipped me.  And he hasn't stopped.

Playing with my bro as a kid. We had games that would last for days. It was great.

  As an adult we had game nights when a bunch of our friends were laid off for the winter. A cheap inexpensive fun thing to do. We always played Monopoly and I got my butt kicked by the guys. It was great.

We had a huge ice storm on New Years Eve and it knocked out all the electric. We played Monopoly by Coleman lantern light in front of the fireplace all night. We roasted hot dogs over the flames and they tasted better than steak. It ended up being a fun adventure rather than a disaster.

When I was about 6 there was a hurricane that knocked out our power for days. We played Monopoly by candlelight and to this day that is the longest game I've ever played. It was a really good distraction for me and my sister.
