I'm looking for a good and effective OTC (over the counter) cold and allergy medicine.

My symptoms are: severly runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes and a small headache. I don't think I have a fever, but my forehead is a little warm.

Something for nighttime and something for daytime. Thank you!!!!!

  1. My doctor told me, a long time ago...if any were good there wouldn't be so many! You need to find one that works for your symptoms. What works best for me may not work at all for you. Good luck!

  2. I take zyrtec at night when I brush my teeth. It makes you a bit drowsy so if you take it at bed time, it's not a big deal. It works for 24 hours and it has been a blessing for me!

  3. The best otc med is the one that works for you. Cetirizine is the most potent but can cause drowsiness, so take it at night. Loratadine and fluxofenidine work for millions of people around the world. The last two can be taken at daytime.
