Best Place for First Dinner Date?

in Anchorage, AK ... I'm shy, and he's ramped lunch up to dinner. Something with steak? Quiet? We're not young crazy kids, either.

It's my choice of where to dine ...

I would try for a resturant with a theme that has private booths and low music atmosphere is the best part besides the company you will be enjoying of course/

Try outback steakhouse. They have really good steak and plus it is not to kiddish. (Go outback tonight). P.S. good luck on your date!!!!!

streak huh and quiet mmmm sullivens fits that or club paris or pepper mill .... sullivans is going to be the most up scale and quiet (see make reservations and price) never been to club paris but couple friends love it, peppermill is great if u want easy escape, of all of them its going to be loudest and most people, but still not like lone star or my favorite golden corral(hey all u can eat there) if none of those work out or not in mood for steak i love going to new thai place on old seward just south of o malley quiet yet great food.lacks lil in privacy but if u arent there till lil later it empty still a secret i think.

i almost forgot blues central on northern lights... best steak in town imo and awesome music or the whaler on mulldoon also good food and music both go to music and drinks afterwards but blues central is awesome place if ur into jazz and blues ---- plus never know how may end up droping in,  over the years some big names have just stopped in to jam with local talent

I know you said steak, but what about a bennihana type place. You sit with other diners and the chefs make dinner in front of you - it is really a performance! Since you say you are shy, this might take the pressure off of you and help you to relax a bit! Otherwise I say go somewhere that has private booths. A place like the melting pot has really quiet, and private booths, but it is - in my opinion, expensive www.meltingpot.com . So there are those options and then just your typical steak house, I don't know what you have out in anchorage. But hey statistically speaking you've got the ball in your court being a female in Alaska!
