Best Place to Raise a Family in the Charleston SC area?

My Wife and I are considering a move to the Charleston Area. She is currently pregnant so we are looking for an area in or around Charleston to live and raise our family. We plan to visit in October if anyone has any advice on were to check out it would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Johns Island, Folly Beach, James Island, Daniel Island, W. Ashley are great places to live but more for singles and urban professional types.  Great place to buy investment property.

    Mt. Pleasant has the best schools in Charleston County and is only about 15 minutes from downtown Charleston and 10 minutes from the beaches.  Its a little pricey, though.

    Summerville also has great schools and is a lot more affordable, but its about 45 minutes from downtown Charleston - prolly why its more affordable, lol!
