I am coming to Montreal for 3 months summer training in Ecole Polytechnique starting from 12th May. I am an Indian. I am looking for a nice and cheap room near to Ecole. I do not mind living in hot areas. I am also looking for nearby good Indian restaurants.

  1. Stay in the West, nice, cheap and tons of restaurant....TONS..stay west of Westmount.

  2. You'd definitely want to live in the West Island. It's one of the only parts of Montreal that speaks English. Plus there are plenty of Indian restaurants. One of them being the Bombay Palace, across the street from my house. The West Island is the best if you're looking for a cheap appartment/house as well!

  3. Have they wiped all the blood off the floor yet?

You're looking for some good Indian restaurants, did you say?

    Of course, you would!

My limit would have to be Chicken Korma, lol!

    Check this out though!

The only rooms/accommodation I have ever heard of are on Boulevard Edouard-Montpetit but they belong to the University of Montreal.

You would have to call them direct and find out if they allow students from the Polytechnique to stay there also.

    Hope this helps a bit!

    Good luck to you!
