I am 14 and snowboarding (with my dad) for the first time. We might go to this place in Woodbury for lessons. Is there anything better near us? (southern CT)

  1. I live around southwestern ct, (and snowboard as well), and when i cant get up to vermont mountains, I usually go to Southington mt. in Southington, CT, Mt. Mohawk, or Ski Sundown. Mohawk and Sundown are probably your best bet even though they are just over the Mass. border because the snow right now is not very abundant, causing the conditions at CT mountains to be very bad. They are all very good mountains for first time skiers or snowboarders as there aren't many difficult trails for advanced borders or skiers, and all provide lessons and easy beginner trails. Check out all three at thier websites to find the best for you.
