Best/Prettiest place to vacation in Hawaii in december with teens?

Hi!

So I'm planning to go to either mexico or hawaii in december with my parents and my best friend(we're both teens)

I found a good hotel in mexico but apparently the beach there is not very good, so whats the point of going to somewhere like that without a nice beach!?

But anyways, I'm looking into Hawaii. I would really love some help with researching a place to go! Ideally somewhere/or a certain hotel that's close to the best/very good beaches, in a very nice area and under 250 a night. I just really want to make the best of the trip! I'd love a hotel thats close to maybe some waterfalls and attractions. Just a place with everything near by would be awesome.

Deffinatly Maui!!

It has beautiful beaches, and also has the waterfalls and attractions you are looking for! Also if your goin in december, it is whaling season, so you can go out on boat trips and spot the wales, it is truely an amazing thing to see!

Not too sure about costs tho, it is expensive, youll have to research some hotels!

Its also nice as it isnt as busy as oahu, but its also not as secluded as the other islands, its kind of inbetween! So its a perfect destination spot!!!!!!!!!!!

I would actually recommend Cancun, Mexico.  It has alot to offer travelers of all ages, singles, married persons, and teens.  

If you have your heart set on Hawaii though, I would recommend Honolulu.  There is alot more action there than on the other islands, and it is more affordable.

I would go to Maui, Hawaii. In the (so called) winter is a great time to spot whales as well as go to Hana to see the 7 sacred pools with amazing waterfalls and also you can drive to the top of Haleakala crater both activities listed are only $10. Your family and you and your friend could rent a nice condo try www.mauiresortrentals.net. Most of the condos are less than 100 a night and have all the amenities. Also the beaches are as you guessed amazing. I am not just saying this because I live here it truly should be seen by all and appreciated! I know many people say it is very expensive but if you do your research you can get great deals! Make sure to book early though because the winter time is the busy season. Aloha!
