  1. If you are in a risky profession, police officer, fireman, or the like, or have hobbies like sky diving, you'll be seen as a risk.

Add to that, if you work at home you don't have to drive to work, which is good.  Just working at home and self employed will get you in the best risk class.

  2. Best profession would be one where you don't work at night like waiters, cooks etc and obviously away from alcohol or risk.

Perhaps say you are a webmaster or a builder.

But the best way to save dough is to ask everyone's quote and go for the cheapest.

And I do mean asking 67 or 94 or so quotes. Internet and yellow pages. Go for it.

    Here's a few UK ones

remember to write down all prices and phone numbers or web addresses or you are just wasting time.

    good luck

  3. The answers vary by person. It would be a good idea to hear several of them and see the differences. Here is a good one.http://carinsurance.expertsupport.info/a...

  4. Depends on your state.  And if the car is being used for work or for personal use.

If its personal use, your profession does not make any difference.

  5. Philip H, For car insurance the quick way to get a free quote is do a policy comparison. Be sure to choose the same coverage levels, you can get an accurate quote to compare against others. Use the same zip code, auto make/model, mileage and driving history to make sure you get accurate comparison.
