I have narrowed my search down from previous post asking for help ranking 6 receivers. I am going to nab 2 out of three of the guys listed below. They are incredibly close in my opinion and really good arguments can be made for each of them. Hopefully one will be off the board to make my decision easier. If these 3 guys fell to you, which 2 would you grab? I have to tell you that my favorite right now is A.J. He just has too much upside to pass up. The other 2 are much harder for me to rank.

Larry Fitzgerald

Marques Colston

Andre Johnson

I'm all ears!

  1. Colston & Johnson. Good Luck

  2. Take Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald

  3. Here is the ranking...In my Opinion!!

    1.  Andre Johnson (also highest risk)

    2.  Marques Colston

    3.  Larry Fitzgerald

Your SAFEST two players would be the #2 and #3 but considering reward over risk you would HAVE to take the top two.

I think you already are in the 'loop' of AJ...He's incredible man...incredible...just gotta be wary of injuries still!!!  If he's healthy all year he could be the #1 overall WR easily...

I put Colston above Fitz because of the newly acquired Jeremy Shockey.  He raises the value of almost all the players on the Saints:  Colston, Brees, Bush, Shockey himself, etc...

I don't think you go wrong either way but that is my 2 cents!!

  4. Fitzgerald, then Johnson. Colston is nowhere close to Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald and Johnson would the two.

  5. I would take Andre and Marques because Andre is a first class receiver.  His team around him is getting better and the Qb situation is much better than the one in Arizona with Fitz.  He also has amazing atletics, and can become a top 5 if not top 3 receiver this year.  Last year was a glimpse of what he could do, but an injury cut a lot of his season short.  Marques Colston is in his third year now, and he avoided the sohomore slump by putting up great numbers.  His Qb is a much better one than the other two combined, and they should throw a lot if they are down, having defensive problems last year.  Hope this helps!!

  6. In my opinion......

I would definitly take Fitzgerald, he gets the catches, the yards, and the touchdowns that would suit any league...he did just get the big contract so that might slow him down a bit but I can't see him doing much worse against the competition he plays against.

For me, it's between Colston and Johnson. In a perfect world I'd have all three! I think it depends on how your league is scored, Johnson gets a lot of catches but not as many TD's however he's played with Carr for most of his career and a whole slew of people last year and he was hurt. I think Schaub and Johnson have more upside than Colston and Brees because Brees will likely throw to Shockey, Bush, and Meecham because Colston is their only reliable WR and therefore double teamed. The same could be said for Johnson I suppose but he's always produced being doubled, bad QB, bad offence, etc...I think Colston has a few spectacular weeks and a few dud weeks. Those few duds will add up at the end of the season and his over all numbers will be good but those weeks where he disappeared, you'll wish like heck you have consistency. I think Johnson and Fitzgerald consistently get you 10+ a week.

  7. Johnson might get injured so go with Colston and Fitzgerald.

  8. 1. Fitzgerald. I believe he's the most talented of the three.

    2. Colston. He has a better QB throwing to him. Plus he's a beast.

    3. A.J. He won't score as many TD's as Fitzy or Colston. But he is a better talent than Colston for sure.

  9. Fitz then Johnson. Johnson might be better but is more injury prone.

  10. I say you have to go with Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson - both guys put up great numbers and are amazingly talented.  I think Johnson will be even better than his 8 TD catches last year and Fitz is the best of the three with his 12 last year combined with an impressive performance the year before - he's the number 4 fantasy WR over the last two seasons (behind Moss, Owens, and Wayne);

  11. Fitzgerald and Colston.

Andre Johnson is a huge risk / huge reward kinda guy.  This guys is hurt for 4 or 5 games each year.  If you can afford to deal with the headaches that will bring then pick him.   If he doesn't get hurt he's a lock for 1200 and 10+ TD's at least.

  12. Johnson 1st (most upside, probly most talent, and least risk of underachieving)...then probly colston cuz of the saints offense with brees at the helm...Colston and fitz are pretty similar (ok speed, great size/strength, great hands) fitz is a little more developed, but whos gonna be throwing to him?
