  1. Restaurante "El Bulli" in Roses on La Costa Brava (north of Girona)..

It is run by Chef Ferran Adriá...

The restaurant is fully booked for the whole of the year 2008!

    It has its own website...

    www//http.elbulli.com

  2. Casa Botín is the OLDEST restaurant in the world, according to their own accounting, although I know of a restaurant in Sevilla that predates Casa Botín by fifty years, and has been in the same family for the whole 350 years or so.  It is called El Rinconcillo, and is near the Plaza Sta. Cristina, on the northern part of the Casco Antiguo, near the Palacio de las Dueñas.

Casa Botín is on "Tapas Row", on the low side of the Plaza Mayor.  I wouldn't say it's the "best" restaurant at all, but then, I've never been.  We only passed it on our last day in town, on our way back from dinner...which, by the way, we had at a friends' restaurant: El Rey del Pimiento in Plaza de la Puerta Cerrada.   Good people.

*edit*  Hey!!  Who thumbs downes me?  Wonder why?

Abuela:  I've heard of that Casa Bulli.  Sounds incredible, and quite pricey.
