Best Restaurant with a view?

Hello,

My boyfriend and i will be in Sydney over Valentines Day this year and we want to go to a nice restaurant for dinner. We are looking for something with a view of the bridge and/or opera house, close to the water... either modern australian cuisine, italian cuisine or french cuisine. We want to spend up to about $200 for two. Any recommendations?

I can personally recommend Forty One Restaurant in Chifley Tower.  Great views, great food.  But...it might cost a little more than $200!  You could always choose a cheaper wine.

Aria is always considered to have one of the best views in all of Sydney that's right on the water. Another great on is Level 42. $200 will suffice if you only have 1 course each and a cheap bottle of wine though - have fun!

any of them on cockle bay wharf should b perfect! On the water, in the heart of the city, views galore and plenty of different restaurants to choose from!

If you are ever in Chicago try The Signature Room on the 95th.  It is a great restaurant at the top of the John Hancock Building.  Great food, excellent view.

As far as Sidney goes, try watching the Real World this season, I am sure they go to some great restaurants.

Bridge Bar is a great start. It is not far from Opera Bar. Bridge bar is part of the building nicknamed the Toaster. It is on the 10th Floor and looks over the Opera House and straight at the Bridge etc.

Cafe Sydney is one of my favourites with views of all the above. That will cost you around 200.
