There  is  a lot  of  very  good  restaurant  in  Rome.For  me  one  of  the  best  one  is Augustarello ,this  was  located  in via Giovanni Branca.This  is  very  famous  to  their  very  regional Roman  cuisine and  the  famous  Sangiovese wines.They   have  also  a  very good  collections  of Italian tables  wines and   good  variety  of  cheeses like  taleggio, granas  and  provolones.Visit  also  L ' Arcangelo in via Guiseppe Giaocchino  Belli  and  Agata  e  Romeo  near  the  station  di  Termini.In  this  3  Restaurant  you  can  find  an array  of  very  good  Italian  cuisines.BUON APPETITO

We really liked a restaurant called Paris in the Trastevere area.  Good seafood and good pasta.

We liked enough to eat there twice during a one week trip.  That's always a serious endorsement.

There's so many! Pretty much a rule of thumb, the more it looks like "a hole in the wall" trattoria, the better the food/experience!!

Basically anything in Trastevere including:

Da Augusto

Casetta di Trastevere

Ai Fienaroli

Gino in Trastevere

And don't dare miss Old Bridge gelato by the Vatican, it's phenomenol!

Best really romantic spot for me is:

Tre Scaline, Piazza Navona (but you must book in advance to get a good outside table).
