Question:

Best Running Shoes?

What shoes are the best for track & field. I need shoes with spikes. My events are the 100meter dash, 200meter dash and the 4x100 relay. I have no budget so it can be expensive. They just have to be good and light and comfortable. Any suggestions? Which ones are the best/most common on a olympic sprinter.

  1. my favorite are asics. they are very lightweight and affordable!

u can get them at BIG 5

  2. cant go wrong with nike

  3. Well I don't know about olympic runners but I sell shoes, and I ran track. The best shoe is the Nike Zoom Ja, in my opinion. You have to pick a shoe that feels good on your foot. Good things to look for in a sprinter spike are rigidity and weight. The Ja is the most rigid and lightweight that I know of.

Go to a good store, not D*icks(they edited that :p) or the sports authority. Try on a couple different brands.

Remember that you are only wearing them for 30 seconds in the race, so they don't have to feel like your training flats, and they are supposed to fit like socks. It is okay to feel the end of the shoe when it comes to spikes...unless your feet are still growing.

Hope that helps some. Good luck

  4. honestly i hate to suggest nike    but when it comes to sprinting nike makes some sick shoes

  5. New Balance makes great shoes for that.  Saucony is the brand I use - nice and mushy on the inside.
