Does anyone have a good website to be able to find your relatives? I have a couple of aunts that I would like to find again. I haven't seen them since 1990. Thanks for your kind answers.

I have tried whitepages.com, but I need something that will find them. I know they last lived in Texas. I would like a website that will let me give the details I can give to be able to find them.

  1. familytree.com

  2. refugee reunited has a extensive list of all types of people

not just refugees, worth a try anyway

    try a websearch

  3. The majority of the genealogical sites are not free. If you have money no problem, but if you're like me and don't you probably want to find an alternative. One thing you should know going into this is that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Pimps, better known as "the Mormons" maintain the largest data base on Genealogy.www.familysearch.org/If you try and go through their churches main site chances are they will direct you in some good places for little or nothing.

http://ancestry.com/ is also free somewhat. These places will give you just enough info to get you into their hip pocket, then they hit you up for cash. Google is a good search engine and can find alot of things not discovered under normal inquiries if you "hack" around their public records you may come up with interesting findings. To accomplish this a bit more knowledge in Google is needed, but it's well worth learning. http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/23/...

Depending how much time you are going to invest in this project you may be interested in knowing about a free open source software program that exists named "Gramps". If you don't have Linux already you can get it to run either using an Emulator, or running side by side either off the disc w/o install. Or better yet off a partitioned hard disc. You can get a free Live CD of a UBUNTU delivered right to your door. https://shipit.ubuntu.com/  You can run "Gramps" using it, and it will open the door as well I'm sure to additional "Genealogical"software". I hope I helped you with the info I provided.
