Who is the best surfboard shaper????

first of all it doesnt matter what all the pros ride or teh shaper of the year and who the number one shaper is. find a shaper wit a model that suits ur needs and not what u wna show off in the water. you can only surf well if u hav a board that can support u and the big or small or medium waves u ride if u get a board thats too thin or too wide ur guna get ****** up and ur guna hate ur board.  def check out teh local shapers they usualy mkae boards perrrfect for ur local break

Yo man, I like Todd Proctor. He's got a custom shaping business.  He's real personable, answers emails, and has been helping me to find my magic board.

Plus, he's using progressive materials, like his flexible Epoxy (which is better for the environment), carbon, and even Kevlar.

Oh, yeah . . . his boards are freakin' amazing.

Well, Rusty Preisendorfer was named shaper of the year for this year so I guess this year he is.  My advice though if you are looking for a new board is to go with a local shaper with a good reputation.  They will understand what works best in your location.

bear surfboards are fantastic but so are boards by Farrel oshea,he's been shaping mine for years and they ride brilliantly.

Rusty boards are my favorite, but I also live right by that guy so I might be predjudced because he's a local.
