  1. I'm a shopaholic :) and I could direct you to my favourite shopping places!

Shopping in the main Melbourne city:

    - Melbourne Central shopping centre (corner la trobe st and swanston st) -> This is full of speciality stores from chain to more upmarket Australian designer store. There's a cinema and lots of cafes and also a cinema. If you walk inside Melbourne central from swanston street you can get into Bourke st mall (where Myer and David Jones)

    - Myer Department store at Bourke St (in between swanston st and elizabeth st), this is a department store that sells homewares, clothes , cosmetics.

    - David Jones Department store just next to Myer at Bourke St in between swanston st and elizabeth st,). Similar to Myer but a bit upmarket

    - QV or Queen Victoria shopping centre (corner swanston st and lonsdale st) -> full of quirky boutiques such as Cactus Jam, Guess, Scanlan and theodore, again lots of nice cafes and restaurants and bars

    - Crown Casino (whiteman st) full of designers such as prada, louis vuitton, Bvlgari, to armani exchange, giorgio armani, french connections, etc. To get here, you can catch tram number 96 from bourke st (just ask the tram driver whether the tram goes to crown casino). This is a casino, it has a casino of course, lots of nice restaurants, bars, cafes and also cinema

    - Collins st - the whole collins st from swanston st to exhibition st is full of designer stores such as chanel, Bally, Louis Vuitton, Gucci. This street is known as the 'Paris' end of Melbourne.

    - Australian on Collins at Collins st (in between swanston st and elizabeth st) - another shopping centre with stores such as country road, indigo, kookaii, ninewest, alanah hill, etc..You can walk from collins st through the shopping centre to little collins st. There're more shops as well in little collins st.

    - GPO shopping  centre- in the corner of Elizabeth St and Bourke St. This is full of nice designers store such as mimco, gorman, veronika maine, Belinda (that sells miu miu, chloe), akira isogawa, george jensen, Ben Sherman, Max and Co and more :-). I love to shop here...

    - Little collins st (in between swanston st and russell st). In this street, there are quirky little independent stores selling limited edition adidas, as well as onitsuka tiger and cult clothes.

    - DFO - discount bargain shopping of factory outlet in Spencer st (at the Southern cross train station. Souther cross train station used to be known as Spencer St Station). In here, you get bargain clothes, linen, towels, cookwares, homewares, etc..

A bit out of Melbourne but within 15-20 minutes tram ride:

    - Bridge Road, Richmond. This street used to be the original factory outlet in Melbourne and still is. Catch tram from Flinders st (in front of Flinders st station).

    - Chapel St, South Yarra-> The shopping mecca for melburnian and celebrities. You can catch tram number 8 to Toorak from Swanston St. Lots of Australian designer including Collette Dinigan, Allanah Hill, Scanlan and Theodore

There is one of the biggest shopping centre in Melbourne called Chadstone shopping  centre (approx 30 minutes drive from melbourne city towards south east direction). it has everything from chain store to designer such as Ralph Lauren, Max Mara, Armani Exchange, etc. You can cathc a train and bus as well fro mMelbourne city to get there.

    Happy Shopping :-)!
