Best Small SUV?

Question

Im looking for a good small SUV thats gets good gas mileage. I need a car the gets at least 18-20 mpg. I am a high school student so my budget is kind of tight so i would need a vehicle made in the 80's or early 90's. I was thinking of getting like a Bronco II or a S10 Blazer.

What vehicles would you reccomend?

Both the Ford Bronco and Chevy Blazer are good choices, you might also look into the Jeep Cherokee, which is one of my favorite.

First thing is reevaluate your choices. The 80's & 90's Blazers are trash and very unreliable. With your repair bill you are better off buying a better car than going the cheap route with a Blazer. The Bronco II is another no go it is very unsafe and has a long history of problems. Please DON'T buy the Bronco II if you value your safety.

I would recommend that you look at a Ford Escape or a Honda CRV. I would trust a higher mileage CRV or RAV4 (Toyota) before a Blazer as long as it was maintained well. Ford Escape's are also pretty good and there are allot of cheap parts on the aftermarket for them in the even that they need repairs. They also have poor resale value which works in your favor if you are on a tight budget.
