Best Snowmobile?

I am very interested in purchasing a snowmobile (I've rode serveral times now) but have no clue what machines perfrom the best. I'm capable of riding deep snow, groomed trails, performance vehicles or even mountain vehicles. The vehicle will be used in Colorado's Rockies (above 8,000 ft). Money is not a concern for me, just looking for the best snowmobile. It needs to be reliable, but also one that can pull a workload and also endure high performance and sport use. Sorry for making you guys read so much for such a straightfoward question but I am really looking for some good answers! Thanks ;)

  1. personally, me and my father through the years have had a couple articats and 3 Polaris snowmobiles.  Both of the brands were good yes but not very reliable in the long run. polaris was fast but always broke down and was way to small. the articat ran good but the suspension was never good even when replaced and just wasnt up to par with other sleds. We recently got 2 yamahas. a Vmax 500 and a Vmax 600, they have ran great with both the power durabilty that none matches. if you want a reliable sled go with yamaha. Ski-doo is also another very good reliable brand that you cant go wrong with. snowmobiling is all about ones preference too.  you really have to find out what brand you like the most. i like yamaha and ski-doo because thats what has worked from experience.
