Best Snowmobiles?

I am very interested in purchasing a snowmobile (I've rode serveral times now) but have no clue what machines perfrom the best. I'm capable of riding deep snow, groomed trails, performance vehicles or even mountain vehicles. The vehicle will be used in Colorado's Rockies (above 8,000 ft). Money is not a concern for me, just looking for the best snowmobile. It needs to be reliable, but also one that can pull a workload and also endure high performance and sport use. Sorry for making you guys read so much for such a straightfoward question but I am really looking for some good answers! Thanks ;)

  1. If you are going to be riding primarily in the mountains and money is not an object I would sugest looking at a custom purpose built snowmobile such as a cmx (crazy mountain extreme).

  2. I would go with a summit from ski doo with the SDI engine. The SDI makes it so that you can go into the mountains, and back without having to re-jet for the different altitudes. It also has a long track that would be good for deep powder and large engines for power. good luck

  3. I have an Arctic Cat z570 and I love it. I use it on vermont where it is more icy and maybe a little harder to use than is the rockies. I would recomend a mountain or performance sled from Arctic Cat or Polaris.  Polaris has deep snow sleds as well.
