Best Spring Suit for the dollar?

i have a 150 dollar budget and i was wondering what the yahoo answers community would think is the best cold water Springsuit(i live on pacific coast and the water is a bit chilly). i want something quality in craftsmanship, but i want it to stay within my budget. thanks for any suggestions!!!

spring suits are dumb. go for a full suit, short sleeve, half suit, or just trunk it.

It's hard to say what the retail cost will be in any given store. I would never buy a used wetsuit on line. That's like just throwing your money in the ocean. However, lots of shops do sell used wet suits, and it might not be a bad idea to check out the local shops.

If you want to risk ordering a new suit on-line, go to a surf shop and try on a couple different suits, and find out what size is really right for you.

Henderson is an east coast company that makes lots of dive & surf wet suits, as well as suits for the government. They are a little cheaper than some of the bigger companies, and can be ordered on line. I have henderson and O'neill suits, and quality-wise, the is no significant difference.

Your local shop is the best place to go, getting info from the internet is stupid and waste, the people who work there know what is best.

There are some pretty good wetsuit manufacturers out there. Xcel, O'Neill, Body Glove. If the water is that chilly, you may want a full suit. I've bought only one wetsuit from a surfshop. The last two,(O'Neill & Ripcurl) I bought online and saved a small fortune. Do some searching on the internet and you'll find some deals. You'll probably have to up that budget by at least 50 bucks.

word, I agree with the above guy. spring suits are a waste of money. get a fullsuit because in the summer, sure the water may get warmer, but guess what? yea, it get's colder again in the winter and then it sucks to have to buy another suit. i've seen some crazy good deals on fullsuits on craigslist. go look there. the best quality suits are o'neill, rip curl, xcel, and quiksilver.
