Best Student Laptop?

What's the best laptop for a new college student interested in graphic arts? Good battery life, not too heavy, easily connects to school networks, internet, etc.

For college student laptop always count on Macs. They way faster than PCs with good battery. But the price on them is high. The new MacBook Air which is the worlds thinnest laptop is $1799, I'm a college student as well and that's the laptop i have. But theirs the regular MacBooK for $1099 which is really light as well.

Go with a MacBook Pro. They're really good for multimedia stuff.
