For front L&R speakers: Definitive Technology model: BP2002 bipolar loudspeakers w/ built-in powered subwoofers 12" at 125 watt amps.In addition each has a "Left or Right full range low level in for subwoofer" and an "optional LFE in" input w/control k***s.Each speaker also has 2- 51/4"upper bass/mid range drivers &2 -1" tweeters.Center speaker:Phase Techology PC 3,w/2- 6 1/2" woofers,1-soft dome 1 1/2" midrange,1-1" tweeter. My receiver is a Pioneer VSX-07TX.In back is a front pre-out,surround pre-out,center pre-out and sub-woofer pre-out.Have it hooked up to sub-woofer pre- out w/ a Y connector and RCA plugs going to each speaker LFE input. Is this right? Don't seem to have a bass problem, probably too much.Do I need 2 sub-woofers? I want the most efficiency out of the other speakers, the crispest sound.Receiver has a GUI with a bass manager w/ a crossover set-up.What is that? I have it set to 80Hz,is that okay?Have all speakers set to "Large"including surounds All sounds ok, but..

  1. I have the same speakers.

Hook the jumper plate so the speaker wire connects all 3 drivers.  Remove the RCA cables.

    Tell your receiver:

    - Your L/R speakers are LARGE

    - Your center and rear speakers are SMALL

    - You do not have a subwoofer

This will force the receiver to send all low-frequency sounds to the L/R speakers.

Use a SPL sound meter and a setup disk to level adjust the speakers. You want all 5 speakers to produce 75 db with test tones, then you increase the intensity on the built-in subs to produce 83-85 db.

  2. I had a o7tx for years then donated to my sisters house where it is hooked up using multiroon option  great powerful receiver. set all speakers to small, use thx 80 crossover setting and use lfe input.  you dont want two crossovers working at same time  so  disable crossover on speakers if you have one. If you cant disable it ,put it to its highest setting.

using lfe setting should disable it anyway. You also have good speakers ,very effecient.   your system must crank
