I am a business student at the University of Calgary. I am trying to think of a good business to start this upcoming spring. I am thinking about a Lawn Maitenence company does anyone have good ideas about good small company's?

Website development, especially for yourself, is one way to go.  If you apply a few of the correct principles, you can design a business that may serve you for life.  I'm developing one that will eventually require no input from me but just keep earning.  It's slow but it's working.

Lawn Maintenance is great!  It's a great way to "get your hand dirty" in running your own business!  You get to try all your new skills (accounting, marketing...), plus it's outside!  Just wear sunscreen!  :)
