Question:

Best Teen Cruise in the Mediterranean and Greek Islands?

I'm looking for a good cruise for teens in the Mediterranean Sea (Greek Islands, etc...) in summer 2008. I want a cruise line that has good ships for the region and has lots of activities for teens to enjoy nightlife. When I say teens I mean 15-17 year old teens. They don't want the boring 'children' stuff. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

  1. The person who suggested easycruise thats a bad answer.. They dont allow children.. What about Royal Caribbeans Independence of the sea ?

  2. I have been on two (2) cruises to the Mediterranean among my 20 cruises total and this is what I recommend.

First, the cruise line that has THE most activities on board their ships is Royal Caribbean.  They have the rock climbing wall, a full sized basketball/volleyball court, a miniature golf course, a billiards room,  a great gymnasium, a covered pool and hot tub area, and  for teens only area called Adventure Ocean and a video arcade.

The cruise line that we did our first Med cruise on was the Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas :

This was a 12 day cruise that departed from Barcelona and had port stops in Nice/Monte Carlo, Rome, Naples, Florence,   Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, and Ephesus, Turkey.

Our second Med cruise was on the Norwegian Gem and it did not have anywhere near the activities as the RC ship did.  So I recommend the RC ship and cruise.

  3. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT go on "easy cruise"  those ships are small and I have heard they really suck, its like the trailer park of the seas.  Carnival has GREAT teen activities.  They even have there own night club for dances.  I have also been on Celebrity and Norwegian they have awesome teen programs too.  But you can't beat carnival, especially for older teens.  I had a blast!

  4. If you go on the Princess cruises, you will find a really cool nightclub just for teens. I believe that adults can't go there at all. Since you will be going on this cruise with an adult, then it's really up to the adult, but you could surely make a suggestion.

  5. You want easyCruise

They're small ships but they're really focused on giving you a good time in port, and since they have small ships you can see more of the Greek Isles.

They're also pretty cheap, and by far the youngest cruise line.  You'll see lots of 20-somethings, few retirees.

The down-side is they don't really have the same activities or amenities as a major cruise line.  There isn't really organized stuff to do -- just the other people, destinations and hot tubs.  And food isn't included.  Oh, and it'll be full of British and other European people.  But they're not sooooo bad.  ;-)

    Have a great trip!
