  1. Here ya go...I used to live there.

First of all...forget Castle Pines.  It's private, you cant get on.

    1.  Fossil Trace in Golden.  Good luck getting a tee time, but  if you do, its the best around.

    2.  Vista Ridge in Lafyette.  Awesome course, just a bit north of the city.  Troon Golf at it's finest.

    3.  The Ridge at Castle Pines North in Castle Rock.  Another Troon Golf Gem...this course is consistently ranked tops in the Denver Area.

    4.  Riverdale Dunes in Brighton.  Take alot of golf balls for this challenging Pete Dye design.  Best Value in Denver in my opinion.

    5.  Arrowhead Golf Course.  Just south of Denver up in the hills.  Most amazing place Ive ever played.  Fun layout, but this course is all about the surroundings.

    6.  Red Hawk Ridge in Castle Rock.  If you have never played a Jim Engh Design, take advantage of this one.  It will eat you for lunch.

    Honorable Mentions:

    Buffalo Run

    Murphy Creek

    Green Valley Ranch

    Indian Peaks

    Highland Meadows

The Brooadmoor (Might be private, not sure)

    Deer Creek

    Wellshire

    Ute Creek

    Pelican Lakes

    Fox Acres

    Marianna Butte

Also, for your price range, check out some of the mountain courses, they should be opening up soon if not already up and going.

    Pole Creek, Granby

The Raven at Three Peaks, Silverthorne

    Breckenridge Golf Course, Breckenridge

Im sure im leaving out some good ones, there are so many great courses in the area.  This should get you started.  Email me if you want more details about any of these.  Have fun out there!

  2. go south a little bit to castle rock. play castle pines, a great course and top 5 in CO. then when you are done golfing go to the outlet malls then finish the day at the micro brewery across the street. it will be a great day!
