  1. Wilson balls are good, soft enough for all players. They cost about $15 in Costco.

Nike outdoor balls are a little too hard, but if you like that kind of hit, go for it at Big5 Sporting for around $10.

You might also be able to find splash balls for beach entertainment, and their size could be a little larger. They are around $7 and are very bouncy (and fun to play with).

  2. i wuld say tachikara

  3. wilson

  4. The fact of the matter is, if you spend less, you get a less quality ball.  If you don't spend around $50 dollars for the ball, then you will see that the ball doesn't react well.  Tachikara, Molten right now are the big names in the Northwest.

Remember, there are indoor balls, outdoor balls and indoor/outdoor balls.  Indoor/Outdoor balls are usually a very generic ball, and won't get destroy and are good for recreation.  If you are in training, get a ball specific to whether you are playing indoor or outdoor.  Outdoor balls are heavier so they don't get push around by wind as much, while the indoor ball is lighter.  For younger kids (age 12) their are "volleyball lights" which are geared toward younger kids with softer surface's and they are lighter in weight.

  5. you get what you pay for - dont ask for the cheapest and durable

wilson is the way to go - should be about 50 for official beach ball

sorry no help on the indoor if that is what you are asking

  6. You're asking two different questions. The best brand vs. the cheapest.  If you're talking about an outdoor ball I think Wilson fits both. They have replica balls that go fo $15-$25 and their official balls are around $40.

For indoor balls there are just too many brands to really choose a best. The official ball for USAV  is the Molten Pro Touch for men and Super Touch for Women although for international play i believe they use a different ball.  It's usually worth spending the extra on a good indoor ball as cheaper balls tend to get harder faster and don't have the durability of the more expensive balls...that's not to say you have to get one that costs alot. If there;s a sports store near you go see if they sell a variety of balls (most only sell a couple different balls and not usually very good ones) and feel them, bounce them on the floor...if the feel is good for you that's the ball for you.  If you're playing more competitive ball you'll probably want to get something a little better quality.

  7. search it up on the web

  8. Just for practices outside, on any surface - I would purchase a cheap practice volleyball. Tachikara has a good one. It can take any kind of punishment on any hard surface.

For indoor - for some great fun, I like the Mikasa 500VUL Training Series - which is a very lightweight, soft volleyball. It is too lightweight for people playing in competition. For competition you need a standard weight volleyball.

To me, it is crucial how much air you have inside the volleyball. I prefer it soft (to reduce finger injuries) where you can press your thumbs into it about 1/8th inch.  A lot of players are use to hard volleyballs, where you can't press into the volleyball - but contact with your fingerjoints - will severly damage them. Accidents happen all the time in volleyball.

It is your choice - do you want to have mangled fingers and hands after playing a very long time?

  9. I'm playing my volleyball and find the Mikasa if the best one. The one made in Japan. The one i think the FIVA is using with compitition on it and MVP. Ball from Japan is good the only think i didn't know is if it is available in your place because her in asia Mikasa is the best.

  10. I would go with a Wilson Ball..but there are a few other brands out there that are good too... Nike and Adidas make pretty decent ones.

  11. the cheapest ball isnt gonna be the best.

    i recomend: mikasa, wilson,& molten

  12. Tachikara, Wilson, Molten, or Baden. they are very good brands!

  13. Mikasa. It's used in international competitions and is the official ball of the FIVB. Almost all balls are of the same cost depending on the material. The cheapest ones are the ones usually colored  white. The best ones to use are the tri-colored balls which are the softest among the all types of balls.

If you want to really learn, buy the tri-colored ball preferably Mikasa but you can also buy other brands. The balls with hard leather usually are painful and you might not enjoy practicing a lot with it.

  14. yellow happyface wal-mart brand

  15. MOLTEN, WILSON, MIKASA, AND TACHIKARA ARE MY TOP 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. willson

  17. Wilson...Nike!!
