I'm currently looking at the airport extreme base station and some d-link's, but i can change my mind. Please support your answer with a link to some tech specs and not juch ''linksys'' or ''buffalo'' router i want models etc. Thanks!

  1. Anything Linksys, as far as I'm concerned.  The different routers give you different features, but I've never had a problem buying Linksys, and I support a lot of networks.  d-Link is good also, but Ford or Chevy?  It's pretty much a matter of personal choice.  Airport?  Not for me.  I don't like running out in the middle of the night.

  3. id go with link or netg

  4. verison fios wirless router very fast 2000/kb per second ya very fast i have it and it works great

  5. I can recommend RANGEMAX DUAL BAND WIRELESS-N ROUTER WNDR 3300. Works great for me. Here is a link to tech specs:

It is a dual-band router which is a good thing to have if you want to stay backwards compatible. (For example, if your friends come over, and they have 2.4 GHz wifi cards working on 802.11b/g standard, then this would work for them as well.)

Here is a good website about what to look for when shopping for a wifi router:

And this webpage talks about Wi-Fi standards:
