I am new to paintballing, and i was recently given a brass eagle raider. i have shot about 300 rounds at a target and i have no complaints so far. but for future reference i would like you opinion on the best (relativley inexpensive) woodland paintball marker. there is a large forest adjacent to my house and that is where me and my friends would mostly play if i can get them into it.

thanks

  1. Brass Eagle...if i said brass eagle made s h i t t y paintball gear, that would be a huge understatement. I'll give it another 500 hots before it breaks. Ok i would go with a tippmann 98 custom as a beginner gun, there built like a tank, accurate, and highly upgradeable. You could find a used one off ebay or craigslist for under 80 bucks, or you can buy a new one for around 120 at a paintball shop. I bought one off a friend a few weeks ago for 30 bucks, its really old and shabby looking but it shoots just as nice as my friends brand new one.

  2. In my opinion the "Best" marker is the one that gets you out on the field playing! The more you play, the better player you become, the better player you are, the more kills you get.

    I have played for a number of years and have advanced to the point that some of my best games are played with an 8 round pistol and a rubber knife for "Ranger Kills"

    As far as a specific brand of Marker, you really cant go wrong with a Tippmann 98c, A5 or their high end marker, the X7. 98c's can be picked up for as little as $75.00 "used" at my local pawnshop. The 98c has THOUSANDS of aftermarket upgrades available, although it's just fine bone stock. Many times "used" means they already have cool goodies attached! In addition I would check out some Buy/Sell threads on a reputable paintball forum such as;

    http://www.98og.net/

    http://www.a5og.net/

    Good Hunting, have fun and keep playing!

  3. Bt is really good. it is a suped up tippmann with more firepower and durability.

  4. I would just go with a Tippmann 98

  5. Anything by Tippmann is great.
