Need peoples opinions, on the best metro areas for urban life for young professionals, like a work/live areas, taking public transportation, walking to work and lunch, etc.

I know larger markets like Atlanta and San Fran/NYC have these but are there ohter areas that are people friendly not car -obsessed. (I hate driving 3 blocks to the gym).

Looking for a WORK/LIVE/PLAY Environment

Where are these located,

I realize you still need a car, but there has to be areas where it all works together

Im in Florida where It sucks and you have to drive 45mins to the grocery store and 1 hr to work and then 25 mins to the postal office, it sucks, too hot, too many cars, what about Cali, LAs Vagas, Northeast, Atlanta, Chicago, etc.

Any feedback from people in these areas would be great
