Specially the women, they are portrayed as angels like Ivanovich but is he really that sweet? How about Safina, is she really rude or it is just her game face. Like every sport of different walks of life there are those who think that they are better than everybody, are buutts, so who is really nice for men/women and who are really rude and unlikeable?

  1. Worst Personalities: (Djokovic, Soderling, Safin, Safina, Ivanovic, Serena)

Best Personalities: (Nadal, Federer, Jankovic, Venus Williams)

  2. Nadal has the best personality for sure in the mens tennis. I heard that one of the atp tour directors said he is a joy to work with, doesnt cause any trouble, he is no hassle what so ever :)! Rafa is also very mannerly and respects every single player on tour whether there ranked 500 or #1 :P He is by far one of the most interesting tennis players out there and has certainly brought the game alive.

Womans side, Ivanovic is very nice and sweet :) Safina is lovely too. I like the William`s sisters even though Serena can appear to be pretty ``big headed`` thinking she is the best she is still a very nice person. Also Elene Dementiva, i quite like her a lot :) !

Worst Personality.. hmm, what springs to mind is Novak Djokovic lol Believe it or not about a year ago i use to like him but then he won a grandslam and started to think he was the best player to ever compete in tennis haha He is an amazing player and is definitely future #1 material. I also here Kiefer is pretty bad tempered, y`know the german.

  3. Ivanovic is sweet on & off the court, and modest. Safina is sweet off the court, especially during several post match interviews. Her eyes twinkling, smiling in contrast to her stoic appearance on the court.

For men, Federer is, on & off the court, a perfect gentleman. Nadal is intense during the match, but off the court he is all tenderness, respect, and modesty.

  4. In the past I would say guys like Boris Becker, John McEnroe, Goran Ivanisevic, Marcelo Rios are perhaps some of the worse personalities the game has ever produced both on an off the court. Even to this day McEnroe is still being kicked out of tournaments for his unprofessional attitude and behavior. While it is enjoyable to watch at times, other times you just wish someone would give him a life long ban from the sport. Click on the link to read about his latest tirade during a match.

This generation of players have not been all that bad to be classified as the worst personalities of the game. Lleyton Hewitt has had some issues in the past that has offended some but I don't think that he has been that worst. He has shown a lot of maturity and humility in recent years and remains one the more respected veteran players on the tour currently.

As for the best, well first there is James Blake who is always respectful and gracious towards everyone he encounters and towards everything he does on and off the court. He is a truly an all-around nice guy.

I believe that it takes one person to lead by example through which all others follow. Usually if that person is at the top, then the success rate of ensuring that everyone else display the appropriate behavior and attitude you like to see from all players will be more successful. Roger Federer has been the greatest player in the sport for the last couple years and through his grace, humilty, professionalism and class, he has set the example for all others to follow. The rest of the field sees how well-liked he is all over and understands the reason why everyone likes the guy, and therefore they know in order to be as great as he is, they must become as humble and as graceful in everything that they do.

For the women, hands down the greatest personality they game has ever produced has to be Kim Clijsters. No other player got along better with all their opponents better than Kim did. I will never forget how she was the first player to greet Maria Sharapova in the locker room after Maria almost got kicked out of the 2007 Australian Open in the first round in that high humidity match.

Monica Seles, Steffi Graf, Chris Evert and of course Billie Jean King were all some of the best personalities the game has produced both while they were playing and after they retired.

  5. Rafa Nadal is really kind and humble off the court :-)

It's nice the the best player is the world is actually a really nice guy lol :) !
