I've joined quite a few yacht-crew-recruiting sites over the past week, and I'm asking if anyone else has experience dealing with finding yachting jobs and what they feel is the best way to go about finding a great job. I haven't been to the Marina in person yet, but that's my next step...

  1. You need to get out there and apply in person to the agencies. 2nd you need to get down to the marina early in the morning and do day work, and meet people, thats a good way to get a job.  Probably the most important thing you can do is get your STCW 95. With this you will have a far greater chance of getting a paid position on a yacht.

  2. Here are some tips for you to try. If you live near the San Francisco Bay area, try a magazine called "Latitude 38". They also have a website. You can also try the website www.seaknots.com . They are a website devoted to cruising.
