  1. I have the same problems...I've tried Murad, Clean and Clear, and Proactive...but I don't think you have too much to worry about now if it's only one pimple here and there!

    Good hygiene is a must.

If you aren't having frequent breakouts I think you'll be just fine doing what you are doing.

  2. I use proactive too. It's the best out ot all the face washes i've tryed. I do get a couple pimples here and there but thats normal i guess.

  3. i've had the same problem! i also tried proactive and it worked for a while. The reason why proactive works is to control the ph balance in your skin. If you are very active and sweat a lot, then the ph balance in your skin goes out of control. The best way to clear up spots of acne that appear every once in a while, is to use spot treatments. There are a number of different spot treatments that are available over the counter. For this, I suggest either clean and clear, or Vichy. Vichy is a GREAT product. It clears your skin, while moisturizing and preventing breakouts. If you're concerned about the appearance of your spot acne, there are some cover-ups available (such as almay) that cover up the appearance of acne, while treating it.

Also, if you go to a dermatologist or even your family doctor, they can prescribe to you some antibiotics which will help clear up your skin faster. These are normally taken a few times daily.

In terms of your skin getting used to products, this may be caused by your skin becoming immune to certain ingredients in those products. But that's ok! Just rotate the products you use and hopefully this while produce good results.

    Hopefully this helps!!!

  4. i also hav acne nd im using clearasil. it got rid of most of my acne but it sometimes leaves spots of where my acne used to be.

at first i asked my doctor wat i should use she suggested sumthing else it worked but it had siude affects.

u should also ask ur doctor if ur acne becomes worse or ifthe proactive doesnt anymor, but if u do read the box or tube or watever

  5. You may like the Neutorgena or the Clinique products.  There is no quick fix for acne.  Your doctor may recommend some prescription medication.  Keep your face very clean.  Drink plenty of water.  Eat a nutritious diet and get enough sleep.  Try to reduce the stress in your life.  Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer.   Here are a few informative links with additional home treatment ideas.

  6. i have the same problem. i get pimples here and there no matter what i use or wash my face with.

however i overall have nice skin.

after i go out, and come home, i wash my face with the neutrogena Wave. it takes off all my makeup and leaves my skin SO soft !! then i moisturize every morning and night with clean&clear SOFT lotion(has a greenish cap) they have a day and night cream.

twice a week i use st.ives apricot scrub. the one that says "blemish and blackhead clearing scrub"

then once a week i use a mask, its by queen helens, its called mint julep mask. its kinda like clay but it works AMAZING. i even use it as spot treatment to dry out those big suckers!

and when i get a pimple i use clean&clear advanced spot treatment. (its in a small silver tube with a purple cap)

i know thats alot of products, but they work!!!

    hope that helped. =]
