i gotta go w/ steven segal. sure he didn't make the greatest movies but his action/fight scenes were off the hook. my favorite movie is hard to kill.

The best is in the eye of the beholder, but I can tell you who the worst was...Van Damme. That guy strutted around and talked lots of big talk like he was the real deal, but then he got his tired -ss knocked out cold by one punch when he ran his mouth off to an off-the-clock bouncer at the Scores strip club in NYC. What a joke!

Sly Stallone, for sure!  Writing his own scripts (Rocky & First Blood) and just really turning the genre on its head.  He helped make it what it is today, he deserves much praise!

Well, Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, Ah-nold and Bruce Willis ruled the box office during the 80s.

Then by the 90s Jean-Claude van Damme, Steven Segal, and a few others started earning spots.

Jackie Chan and Jet Li were big stars in their own countries for years before getting noticed (VERY late) in the US.
