  1. The best place to start would be at your local Department of Social Services. Plenty of children are placed in foster care until they get adopted, and DSS is the facility that places them.

  2. In my opinion, there's no best such thing as a "best" adoption. The "best" scenario would allow a mother to keep her child.

Because isn't that what biological parents should be able to do?

  3. My first question to you is what classifies a best adoption for you? Do you mean an adoption where there is the most need or one that is not too complicated? Personally I think the best adoption is domestic preferably through foster care or an agency in your state. I think it is best some times to adopt this way because a lot of times people consider international adoption while there are thousands of waiting children sometimes in their own jurisdiction. I think any adoption would be fulfilling because you are giving a home to a child that doesn't have one and providing a family.

  4. http://www.adoption.com/

This is probably the best website ever for adoption.

  5. Russia. i was adopted from there!

  6. Well, I agree with Independent - no adoption if your thinking about getting a womb-fresh baby. Otherwise, check out foster care.

  7. Try your search engine. There are tons of websites that can give you more information than you can imagine. If you are looking for an infant adoption, search for adoption agencies in your state. If you are looking for a sibling set or older children try contacting your local social services branch. They can send you a free information packet. I am a foster/adoptive home. I currently have a 1 yr old, two 3yr olds, a 7 yr old and a 16yr old.

  8. I would go talk to an agency and talk to them about it. Try WACAP I was adopted through them and even now they are amazing and very helpfull. good luck!

  9. Call a local agency, start attending information sessions and just follow your heart from there.

  10. The best adoption is no adoption. Try foster care and supporting women trying to keep their children.

  11. "Best" adoption?

    Ummmmm.......isn't that an oxymoron?
