Can anyone recommend a great airline to travel from the U.S. (NYC/Philadelphia region) to Istanbul? I'm wondering if any connecting flights are notorious for delays, etc. Any advice would be helpful!

  1. I dont know the best airline but I have flown American Airline several times and hate it every time.  I would stay away from them.  I know virgin is supposed to be good but I dont think they fly international.

  2. Check this link you may get some information here

    http://www.americacheaphotels.com/Flight...

  3. JFK < NYC/ queens

  4. Turkish Airlines is great.

  5. I fly from nyc to Istanbul several times a year, The only non stop flights are on american and Turkish air , Turkish air  are better than the american carriers. Bristish Air is great but then you have layovers which are a pain in the neck. The staff on Turkish air is very friendly and the planes are new and well kept. They are affiliated with all the first class lounges so you can uliie the lounges in JFK before you flight

I have been stuck in frankfurt and paris as well as madrid on delays caused by wild cat strikes, With turkish air you won't have this problem.

  6. please fly BA they are best.

  7. Turkish Airlines is an excellent company. Their fleet is very modern and the pilots are very experienced.

  8. Turkish Airlines.

Always avoid connecting flights. Connecting flights are always prone to all sort of errors, mistakes, problems etc...

If you want problems, add more stops to your flight :)

Does Emirates fly NY to Istanbul ? If so, prefer them.
