My girlfiend and I are looking to take a trip to cabo... We have done a lot of research on it and we are deciding on either Dreams or Me by Melia Cabo. Another longshot will be the Riu Palace. We are in our mid 20's and looking to have a romantic vacation but at the same time enjoy ourselfs with some interesting nightlife. Any suggestions.

Also is the Me an all- inclusive resort and when is the weather the best in time of late June- early August?

  1. Hola!  I live down here in Cabo.  I know all the hotels pretty good due to my job.  You are on the right track with the 3 places you named.  I always recommend them because I hear nothing but good.  I personally would pick Dreams just because it is so beautiful and quieter, but you can get a bus or shuttle or taxi if you need to go to the nightclubs etc.  p.s. don't forget there are two ME's.  One is ME Cabo close to town and the other is ME Real and its closer to Dreams.

Weather is quite hot at the time of year you plan.  Plan on at least 100F 35c for most days.  But is can reach as hot as 130F - 50c. It is also our hurricane season, so you will see very high humidity and the probability of storms or rain.  Don't let that deter you, tons of people come to Cabo during the summer.

  2. I was at ME in April, and it was beautiful, there were a TON of beautiful people that were young enjoying themselves and the nightlife... It unfortunately is NOT all inclusive which really adds up for every drink, and meal you have--I have also been to Dreams which I loved because it is all inclusive--but be warned the food really wasnt that great (but what all inclusive is? and the drinks were a little watered down, but at least werent nickle and dimed.. HAVE FUN- I LOVE CABO!!!

  3. First things first.  I have been visiting Cabo for 13 years (usually 4 trip per year).  Dreams, Riu, and Melia are all nice.  Melia is not all-inclusive. Ranked in terms of lavishness they are Dreams, Riu, and Melia.  Convenience: If you want to enjoy Cabo nightlife the Melia is the only one of your choices where you can even think about walking to/from town. At Dreams and Riu you either need to rent a car or use taxis (cabo cabs are spendy). My personal opinion: you are in your 20's. Cabo is a party town! There are so many excellent restaurants in Cabo why limit yourselves to the confines of an all-inclusive? There are other very nice hotels that are even better located and still very nice. Cabo Villas Beach Resort and La Playa Grande just to name a couple. I could write you a book here but to make it quick...If this is your first trip down go to town, visit the local shops/restaurants, stay out late and socialize.  Weather is on the warm side at the end of June but still comfortable.  July thru mid-October is a ROASTER! Hope this helps.
