  1. We went to the Sandals Whitehouse.  It is about an hour and a half from Montego Bay, but it was the best of any resort that I saw there.  It was beautiful, secluded, safe.  It is on the other side of the island fro Negril, but it is SOOOOOOO beautiful.  It is new, just opened in 05.  We went to 5 other sandals resorts on a tour, and none of them even came close to the Whitehouse.

  2. We go to Sandals Negril every year.  It's just perfect for us.  The scuba diving is fantastic and there are many other water-sports to enjoy.  The food and drink are tasty and plentiful.  The staff is always very friendly and helpful.  Check out tripadvisor.com for reviews from others who have been there or any other place your interested in.  Lots of good info there that can help you compare and choose the best resort for you.  Have a great time.

  3. The best would have to be the Island Outpost group, The Caves,  Strawberry Hill, and Golden Eye are all gorgeous.. http://islandoutpost.com

    Then comes Royal Plantation

Then Couples, Grand Lido's, Sandals, Sunset at the Palms, Breezes, Beaches, RIU's, Gran Bahia's, Decamerons, Hedo's, Starfish, Negril Gardens, Merrils, Coral Coves, Coyaba, FDR Pebbles, Holiday Inn Sunspree.

Which ones to stay away from, well that can be subjective. So many factors come into play when choosing an all inclusive. Like who's going? What amenities you are looking for? How much are you willing to spend?  What are you expecting from your hotel?

  4. I like the Couples group, they were the first AI and Couples Negril is my favorite.... a friend swears by sandals... the RIUs are good values and still very nice (another coworker's recommendation) and then of course there's Superclubs with Hedo II and III... all are VERY nice.

  5. Jamaica resorts are highly rated by noted travel reviewers and authorities. You can be confident that you are getting the best for your money when you stay at a resort that is rated either 5 Star or 4 Star.

As soon as you drive through the gates of this property, you will recognize Round Hill Hotel and Villas Resort as a 5 Star resort. Along with rich green vegetation rivaling any plantation, the resort borders a secluded golden sandy shoreline and offers a world-class spa housed in an 18th century building. If you want designer-fashioned rooms, explore the Pineapple Hut where each of 36 oceanfront rooms were designed by Ralph Lauren. On this 30 acre property, you can rent one of the 27 private cottages. Each of the cottages is individually owned; the interiors are provided by the proprietors themselves. If you want active fun, check out the PADI diving, fishing boats, chartered yachts, tennis courts, fitness center, jogging path, golf course, shopping boutiques and fine restaurants, among others.

  6. We went to Gran Bahia in Montego Bay twice last year.  The resort is new, very clean, and the people there were great.  Shop bookit.com and cheapcaribbean.com for best prices.  We booked six people at Christmas for five days at $99 pp per day.  The resort is beautiful and still has a cozy feel.  I recommend the couples massage on the beach at sunset.
