  1. You are going to have to do what I just did. I bought a box of every different kind of .22 magnum ammunition I could find. I then took my rifle to the range and shot 5 shot 100 yard groups, making careful notations about the size of each group until I found one that was consistently the best. It was kind of fun to do. I'll post the results below.

    Rifle: CZ 452 American

Scope: Burris 6X with 1/8" target dot reticle w/ adj obj.

I also have used a Leupold 4X with fine crosshairs.

Best Group: Remington Accu-Tip (looks like a plastic tip).

    Good Groups: CCI Game Point

                              CCI Full Metal Jacket

Federal gold box with Speer TNT HP bullet.

CCI TNT also with Speer bullet.

Worst Group:   Winchester in the grey cardboard box.

So, the best way is to shoot a variety and see what performs well in your particular weapon.

  2. Go with CCI hollow points.

CCI , Federal, Speer, (and maybe Blazer) are all owned by the same company.

CCI has been good to me.

  3. I like a 4X scope with a 44mm lens

Ely Tenex is the best but very expensive match grade ammo

  4. 22 Winchester Magnum Supreme ammo.* A 4 power or 6 power scope.*

  5. My 22 Magnum is very happy with CCI Maxi-Magnum cartridges.
