  1. check out the low cost flights

    cheers

  2. While you may be able to get a cheaper flight from London to Paris, the taxi costs back and forth, plus the inconvenience do not make them worthwhile.  Plan ahead and take the Chunnel. It's a wonderful trip that takes you from downtown London to downtown Paris.

I've also tried the surface train to Calais, Ferry to Dover, and then surface train to London. I doubt it saved much money and took all day long. I'd definitely choose the Chunnel over that option.

If you are looking for an economical stay in Paris, look at the hostels on Rue Mouffetard. It's a fun area with plenty of hostel choices.

  3. the chunnel train (Eurostar) is about $75 each way (standard class).  It takes about 3 hours and no hassle of the airport.

  4. WE flew into Heathrow last year, then took the train to downtown London and then a taxi to the Waterloo Train Station where you get the EuroStar to Paris.  You can make all of your reservations online as we did.  The train from Hethrow to London is about $25 for two people.  We got roundtrip Eurostar tickets London/Paris/London for I think about $120 R/t each.  Travel on to Switzerland would be more but you can see the fare on the Eurostar web site and decide whether a rail pass is best.

I suggest using the web addresses below to search for rooms in Paris and London, as well as train tickets.

  5. Aeroplane
