Which is the best anti-spyware for a home PC? I need one but wish I didn't have to spend $50 - is there one that is decent for less?

i have avg and it works wonderfully.. its free.. but if you download from limewire or download anywhere else you need to get a system restore setup on your computer in case something does get in thru a song or video or something you downloaded and you can just restore all settings to the day before.

best buy and circuit city sometimes have a great sell on them i bought kaspersky for $20 when the regular price was $49.99

the free ones you find on the net just do the scan they dont get rid of it for free

I would try Avast from avast.com it is called Free 4 home just register & a robot will send you a year Key then after a year just go back to the site & get another key. I have it loaded on five comps & I have had very good service from it. after you load it do a Boot-time scan. it scans before Windows fires.
