Best antivirus software to prevent viruses, trojans, worms, etc?

Question

I've been thinking of Windows Live OneCare and Windows Defender. They both work fine and delete, quarantine and clean the file that is infected with virus. But once the trial of Windows Live OneCare expired, I don't know what antivirus software I might use now.

I want to an antivirus software is that it doesn't slow down the computer, it works perfectly on Windows XP (any service pack), has a pop-up blocker, website blocker, system scan, delete, quarantine and clean an infected file, and a free software.

Also give me some links for some antivirus reviews, and in your opinion, why is it the best AV software for you?

AVG Free works great for me (see source). It doesn't slow down my old laptop enough to notice and it removes everything from spyware to viruses.

My specs are:

Windows XP Pro w/ SP3

256 RAM

30GB HDD

600 MHZ Pentium 3

I tried several Antivirus software. I have better results with Kaspersky Antivirus. Actually Kaspersky detects most of them.

Here are some good sites that have reviews about many different antivirus and antispyware programs.

Personally I think that Bitdefender is the best then McAfee, then Kaspersky. But i leave it to you to read the reviews and decided which one you want
