Best area to stay in Hong kong to travel around for sight seeing.?

I'm planning to visit below places with my kid, kindly let me know around which area should i look for hotel with reasonable price.

Victoria Peak

Victoria harbour light show

Tan buddha (thebigbuddha) on Lantau island

Aberdeen fishing village

Disneyland

Stanley - for shopping

With transportation being so efficient in HK you can stay either on Hong Kong Island or Kowloon.  On Hong Kong Island Central would be the best.

On Kowloon either the Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Ma Tei or Mongkok areas.

I was going to say the Kowloon side, but seeing the main areas you want to visit, you are better off staying on Hong Kong Island.

I would recommend you to stay in the mongkok area. It is the center of shopping, eating, and transportation.
