Question:

Best at-home Brazilian waxing kit?

I've heard so much about how do-it-yourself waxing kits are painful, & totally ruin your skin - is there, by any chance a Brazilian waxing kit on the market that's not too hard to use at home? Will it rip off pieces of skin?

This is a pervert-free zone :)

  1. I have tried all kinds of at-home waxing kits out there and just a couple of months ago I found the perfect one!

You should try the Nair microwave waxing pots.  They work so well for me.  Having tried the strips that you warm in your hands, and the wax with the strip that you put on then pull off, I was disappointed because none of those worked.

This Nair works like a charm, doll!  All you do is pop it in the microwave for a few minutes (or seconds), mix it, then keep checking that it's not too hot.  Then you're good to go!  It can get a bit stringy, but it really does its job, i.e., it takes all the hair out.  It shouldn't rip off any skin if you do it properly.  You shouldn't wax over the same spot more than twice in a session.

It hasn't ruined my skin. If you're prone to ingrown hairs, you should get some solution to keep them away.

It really works well.  And they come in all sorts of fragrances like 'red fruit'!

  2. i have tried going to salons that perform the waxes and purchasing the same products that they used on me... and it STILL fuhked up my skin. :( sad day.

plus any waxing you do on yourself is going to be like a million times worse just because you're hurting yourself. i was seriously like, shaking by the time i was done. NOTTTTTTT worth it. (i can handle pain pretty well, too... i had a baby with no pain meds, have 11 tattoos and 5 piercings)

i'd rather just spend the money to have the professionals do it. :/

but i'll keep an eye on this question just in case somebody who's a hundred times smarter than me has found something that works. :)
