  1. depending on area, i fish most uk waters, as i own my own boat and travel a lot, i find mac slithers and sqid do well in cleaner waters, or peeler in murky water, often i use a combi of mac squid an crab wrapped with elastic and find that works well,

but please remember to put back under sized fish, for the future of the fishing

  2. Coming from a expert: Shrimp

  3. Peeler crab in mucky water if the water is clear try spinners or plugs.

  4. Livebait such as a sandeel, squid or small mackerel is THE best as that is what the Bass eat naturally.

Peeler crab also work well but have to be fresh.

Just remember that alive or fresh as possible is the best. Avoid frozen baits I don't rate them at all.

  5. If you can get live sandeels ,or a small 3 or 4 inch pouting ,fish them by casting out a griplead (you want a swivel with a bead above about 4 to 6 feet above the weight) place the rod in the rest then attach a trace (between 4 and 6 feet in lenght) by a link swivel ,you can also add a small(half or one ounce swivel bomb to the link swivel to help it slide down the line, prop the rod up and tighten the line, and your baited trace slides down to the stop, live bait intact. Dont go far from the rod as bites are screamers.

  6. Squid !

  7. That depends where your fishing.I live in Southern Cali. would use live mackerels, anchovies, squid,Sardines.

  8. Sand Eels on a spinning trace fished 20-30 yards out in the breaking waves.

  9. Wave a £5 note at the waiter, works for me...

  10. Squid or cuttlefish.  Happy Hunting.
