what baits do people use to catch big bass in a river?

i heard of this one lure that lights up underwater and two fishermen caught 650 somthing bass on it its called bite light

my dad uses corn or velveta cheese it works!

they also use minnows (fatheads) and crayfish

i would guess lures but over in the uk were there salt water fish we use lugworm,ragworm, squid, peeler crab,sand eel , mussels and lures and other live baits
