Best bait for pond bass besides live bait?

I have a load of junk in my tackle box I want to get rid of and I'm going fishing tomorrow. What should I use...name anything as long as its fake.

Yea worms seem to always catch something more then others. You can buy some scent if yours have lost theres

2 combos work every time i fish ponds/small lakes,, i take 2 rod/reels . one with 6-20 spiderwire for spinnerbaiting the weed edges an stuff(1/4oz chartruse and white silicrome Terminator) and one with 8pnd Vanish for lizzards,worms,sencos and slugos

various rubber worms - different colors....the japanese ones are usually the best...salt impregnated.

senko or stick baits work great or powerbait realstix the 4 inch minnow

a white or black rubber grub on a jig head  works well

Usually ponds don't/can't support a huge "forage base" for Bass.

For that reason, Bass and pond gamefish tend to feed on a variety of forage including:

1. Frogs & Salamanders

2. Insects

3. Crawdads

4. baby Turltes & Lizzards

5. Snakes

6. Minnows and baby Bluegill

Also, the average forage-base in a pond is ussually "smaller" than in a lake or River.

Plastic "Grubs" on a 1/4 OZ Jig and plastic curly-tailed Worms (6-8" size) rigged "Texas Style" would probably be your "best bet" for catching your pond fish.

Berkley Powerworms, Senko's, Culprit, Zoom, being some of the better brands of plastic worms. Make sure to use "natural looking" colors.

And take Arties advice. Casting "down the shore" VS "out into the pond" would be a better bet. Bass tend to cruise the outer edges of a pond.
